Next up an adventure into 'Musical Theatre' with the Choir showcasing new talent, performing 'Songs from the Shows'. Sunday afternoon at Slaithwaite St James's - 27th July
100 + years of singing
In 2022, on May 8th, we celebrated our Centenary Year – yes we’ve been singing for over 100 years. Quite an achievement! We held landmark concerts and many special events to celebrate our ‘Glorious Heritage’ and we made big plans for our ‘Fabulous Future’.
One of our most successful ventures has been ‘Let all Men Sing‘. This is a community initiative – for men that sing and men who have always wanted to give it a try – to come together and sing as a group. The programe ran for a third time in 2025. Brilliant! It has done so much to rejuvenate the Choir after Covid.
Not that we’ve stopped recruiting for the main Choir – the last few months have seen many a new singer coming to join us. You can be another one. You would be very welcome!
So if you are a tenor, a baritone or a bass – we would be very happy to see you at our new rehearsal venue at Linthwaite Methodists. Contact Choir Secretary, Richard Holliday or just drop by at 7.30 on a Monday night.
Give us a try. It could be the best move you make all year!

One of many visits to the Llangollen Eisteddfod. This was in 2011. No Choir has a better record of prize-winning at Llangollen than Colne Valley Male Voice Choir.
